(New Video Post) VLOG: Jamaica!

Hey ya’ll!

Hope you guys had a great holiday and your staying warm as you can if you’re on the East Coast because the weather is terrible! Anywho my holiday has been fantastic because I’ve been in Jamaica! My mom is from Jamaica but it’s been a few years since I’ve been here and had a relaxing holiday, so I’m glad that I’m starting off my year this way! Being here makes me realize though I need to live on a beach or at least very close to one for majority of my year. I don’t mind fall and layering my clothes for that time of year but winter?! Nah son, I’m not about that life so apart of my 2014 goals is figuring out how to live the way that I want to! Anyway my trip has been great, super relaxing and just what I needed. I’ve done a lot of writing for “Black Actress” here and overall reflection of my goals and plans for the year and I’m doing my best to just “live”. Here’s a quick vlog of my trip and I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled program very soon!  xo

(New Video Post) Happy Holidays – End of Year Wrap Up & Goals

Happy Holidays! I can’t believe how fast the year has flown by, it feels like a million things have happened but yet nothing lol! I’m going to be traveling a bunch over the holidays and taking a bit of hiatus from social media and the internet to reboot, focus and get my mind right for 2014 but before I head off I wanted to talk a little about my year! I’ve had a really great year, personally, professionally and spiritually. I’m even deeper and more confident in my self love journey, I’ve worked a ton (2 pilots, a movie, a play and my own production) I’m happy and I’m doing and going after everything I want and it feels good. I want to thank you guys for being apart of my journey and subscribing to the blog, I appreciate all of the love and positive feed back so much! Have a great holiday and I’ll see you guys in 2014 xo

(New Video Post) “Applying Gratitude To Your Journey” #SelfLoveSaturday

Applying gratitude to my life has been the biggest help in my Self Love Journey. When you start to feel grateful for any and everything in your life, you start to appreciate your life more and you feel happier. Happiness is apart of self love and gratitude can help you to feel happy! Regularly forcing myself to remember how beautiful my life is and to feel grateful was the first thing I did to start my Self Love Journey and I truly encourage everyone to do that! Don’t focus on the negative, on what you don’t like or what you don’t have. Focus on the positive things in your life and about yourself and feel grateful for EVERYTHING! It works and it will help you to feel Self Love! 🙂 Have a great weekend! xo

(New Video Post) #BlackActress Wrap Up Q & A’s — Thank You!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! (New Video Post) “Be Creative” – Weekly Memo

“Creativity is not a solitary movement. That is its power. Whatever is touched by it, whoever hears it, sees it, senses it, knows it, is fed. That is why beholding someone else’s creative word, image, idea fills us up, inspires us to our own creative work. A single creative act has the potential to feed the continent. One creative act can cause a torrent to break through stone. For this reason one’s creative ability is their most valuable asset, for it gives outwardly and inwardly at every level: psychic, spiritual, mental, emotive and economic.” – Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D.

This week I encourage you all to be as creative as you can in every part of your life! Your art, love, friends, family and hobbies. Our creativity is our most valuable asset and once you realize your purpose is clear and your inspiration is endless! Happy Monday!

(New Video Post) Don’t Let Someone Steal Your Joy – Weekly Memo

Do Not Let Someone Steal Your Joy! Have you ever had a moment where someone was trying to derail you instead of help you? Where you ended up feeling worse about yourself and what you’re doing because of something someone said? That is called “joy” stealing and it happens to the best of us but the moment is temporary! A very small relapse that smacks you in the face but you learn a lesson and it’s to not let something like that happen again! Stand your ground, keep your faith, believe in your vision and do not let someone steal your joy!

(New Video Post) #BlackActress Ep 5 ft @JoyfulDrake

New Episode! Woop! Woop! And this one is one of my favorites! Tonight we get to see a little more of Kori’s life outside of the audition rooms and acting class and truly dive into some of her insecurities. I think we’ve all been in a place similar to Kori where unfortunately because her insecurities she’s pretty much her own worst enemy at this time. Actress Joyful Drake gives great insight that “happy people are normally surrounded by other happy people” and that to truly begin to find success you need to be happy!
Episode Description:
Hoping to progress their relationship, Romeo invites Kori and Izzy to a party and things quickly go very badly for Kori. Guest appearance from Joyful Drake.
