How are you guys doing? This week I want to talk to you about “Outside Influences and Living to Your Potential”. On my self love journey I’ve had to spend a lot of time learning how to block out all the outside noise and take a look at my outside influences and whether they are helping or hurting me and if they are helping to inspire me to truly live to my ultimate potential!

Living to my potential has become an obsession of mine in making sure that at the end of my days I have given everything I have and in the words of Oprah “fulfill the highest level of myself”. Starting myself self love journey has helped to guide me in this direction because I’m confident in myself and who I am and the kind of life I want. In last week’s video I told you guys to leave any questions you may have about “Self Love” in the comments or on twitter and I would answer as many as I could in the video for this week! Well I got A LOT of questions, way more than I expected which was amazing! I did my best to answer every single one either on youtube or twitter and chose to answer the most popular questions in this video without it being super long! Today I want to focus on what REAL beauty is and where it comes from? In my opinion the only way to achieve Real beauty is to start from the inside out. That means the kind of foods that we put in our bodies to help us take care of ourselves! There are lots of different healthy foods that can you eat to decrease stress and boost your mood all while making your skin, hair and body better as well!

Enhancing my diet and making it healthier has been a mission of mine for a while and I can honestly say that taking the time to research foods, and make a conscious effort to improve my diet has paid off greatly for me. My skin and hair is better and most importantly my mood is better and my body now craves fruits and vegetables on a regular basis. Self love is about taking care of your self in every way possible and your diet is very important and can make or break the quality of your life because health is wealth! (New Video Post) Letting Go of the Negatives with a List #SelfLove

When I really started to get serious about my self love journey I created two lists, 1. that was filled with my doubts, fears and insecurities and the other that was filled with my strengths and solutions to all those negatives. When I was complete I ripped up my negative list and kept my positive one and it has truly helped me to let go of all of the negative things that were living inside of me and just focus on the good stuff! I posted the positive list on my wall and I read it as often as a can to remind me of all the good traits I have, to confirm all of the goals that I have  and to truly let go of any of the negative thoughts that I had holding me back. I strongly suggest you try this exercise out and see what happens. Happy Self Love Saturday!

The most important investment you’ll ever make is in yourself!

I’ve always invested in my career but I had to learn to not only invest in my career but also in myself and my overall health and sanity as a person. Everything is connected and important and investing in my happiness ultimately helps my career because I’m not stressed. Investing in my health helps to keep me focused and happy and investing in my sanity helps to give me a balanced life and make me a happier person. You have to invest in yourself by doing whatever it takes to improve your overall quality of life and sometimes that means taking a course to enhance your education or buying new equipment for your career or even starting a hobby so that you can relieve some stress and have a balanced life. I’m putting out a new challenge to you guys to help you find a little self love during the month of love, and it is to start  ” A Gratitude Journal”. It’s simple all you have to do is write down one thing that you’re grateful for every single day, it could be anything at all, the simpler the better. Expressing gratitude is one of the easiest ways to feel better about yourself, your life and who you are as a person which is all ultimately self love! I’m going to be doing this every day for the rest of the month and I suggest that you do to and just see how great you feel! #SelfLove

When I was in Jamaica I started reading the book “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living” by Dale Carnegie and I haven’t finished yet but I had to start talking about it because I LOVE IT! It’s so good and has so many amazing tips for living a better life in every way! This book is truly brining me joy and I had to share a few of the great tips that Mr. Carnegie mentions in this book that are helpful for everything including how to stop worrying. 1. Let’s fill our minds with thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope, for “our life is what our thoughts make it”

2. Let’s never try to get even with our enemies, because if we do we will hurt ourselves far more than we hurt them.

(New Video Post) How To Start A Self Love Journey #SelfLoveSaturday

Hey guys! Happy Self Love Saturday

This is a post for anyone who wants to start a Self Love Journey but you don’t know where to start! I have 3 very simple tips that can help get you on your way!


1. Love Letters: 

Keep a notepad by your bed and every morning when you wake up, write yourself a note! On this note declare the type of day you want to have and the way you want to feel about your self. Give yourself a little piece of advice to keep with you through the day. I find that writing it out is better than just speaking it into the universe because you are able to re-read this note through out your day.

2. Vision Board:

I absolutely LOVE vision boards! It’s a great way to create the life you want and have it as a daily reminder for what you want and what you’re working towards. If you haven’t done your vision board for 2014 yet, I strongly advise that you do. It serves as a great source of motivation.

3. Make a goal and give yourself a deadline: 

This year I plan to not only have goals for the whole year but I’m also giving myself smaller monthly goals, 30 days to complete or try something new that’ll help me to improve as a person. I recently found a very inspiring story from a young woman named Lakeisha who wanted to lose weight and gain self-esteem in 100 days and she did it! I loved the story so much and I did a little more research and I found the site Giveit100.com This site is encouraging people to take a 100 days to go after a dream, there’s nothing too big or too small! On this site, people are documenting their journey’s and giving themselves 100 days to improve. A really think setting small goals and giving your self a deadline to complete it is a great thing to do! It gives you something to work towards and look forward to and helps to make a great habit of setting and completing goals.

Hope this small tips help, I’ll keep giving advice as I continue in my own Self Love Journey and figure out what works best for me!

Applying gratitude to my life has been the biggest help in my Self Love Journey. When you start to feel grateful for any and everything in your life, you start to appreciate your life more and you feel happier. Happiness is apart of self love and gratitude can help you to feel happy! Regularly forcing myself to remember how beautiful my life is and to feel grateful was the first thing I did to start my Self Love Journey and I truly encourage everyone to do that! Don’t focus on the negative, on what you don’t like or what you don’t have. Focus on the positive things in your life and about yourself and feel grateful for EVERYTHING!
