I’m constantly inspired by the incredible filmmaker Ava Duvernay. She’s humble, talented, focused and regularly makes huge power moves in the film and television industry that make every black girl smile! I watched an awesome talk from her at the Directors Guild of America (you can watch the full thing below) and while listening to her she confirmed for me that the only thing that matters is your work!
