Happy Black History Month!
Black culture is so rich with so many phenomenal people who have lead such interesting lives that I find myself regularly researching the lives and stories of my history for people that I feel would make a great film! The most important investment you’ll ever make is in yourself!
I’ve always invested in my career but I had to learn to not only invest in my career but also in myself and my overall health and sanity as a person. Everything is connected and important and investing in my happiness ultimately helps my career because I’m not stressed. Investing in my health helps to keep me focused and happy and investing in my sanity helps to give me a balanced life and make me a happier person. You have to invest in yourself by doing whatever it takes to improve your overall quality of life and sometimes that means taking a course to enhance your education or buying new equipment for your career or even starting a hobby so that you can relieve some stress and have a balanced life. Self investment is the most important investment because it’s self love. Happy Self Love Saturday!

Fun fact about me: When I was a kid I had a very serious obsession with Anita Baker, I wanted to sing like her, make music like her and just be her lol. I was so obsessed with her as an artist that I had a big showcase in my early teens with her manager in the hopes that he’d represent me and I only sang Whitney Houston and Anita Baker songs! I’m putting out a new challenge to you guys to help you find a little self love during the month of love, and it is to start ” A Gratitude Journal”. It’s simple all you have to do is write down one thing that you’re grateful for every single day, it could be anything at all, the simpler the better. Expressing gratitude is one of the easiest ways to feel better about yourself, your life and who you are as a person which is all ultimately self love!
