(New Video Post) Postive Words = A Positive Life #SelfLoveSaturday

3ad0a7f28563bd212c1f2503f6ac4619

Happy Self Love Saturday!

Today I want to talk about the importance of using positive words to describe yourself and your life.  I truly believe that when we use negative words to describe ourselves, whether we’re serious or “joking around” we are doing self sabotage. Of lately the concept of self sabotage has been on my mind and why we do it? That’s when I question whether we truly believe that we deserve good things and a good life? Do our words reflect the outcome we think we’re going to have? And if they are negative, why do we feel like this about ourselves? This is why self love is so important and why positive words will equal a positive life. Check out the video below and don’t forget to donate to my kickstarter! Happy Self Love Saturday.

(New Video Post) The Darkest Hour Only Has 60 mins #SelfLoveSaturday

Happy Self Love Saturday!

Today I want to talk about the quote “The darkest hour only has 60 minutes” . I stumbled on this quote on instagram right when I needed it. I had many moments last year of asking “why is all of this ish happening?!” and when I saw this quote I actually got some reassurance because I realize that whatever I am going through, it wil pass and it’s only an hour, or a day, or a month etc. And when I come through it I will have learnt a whole lot more and grown tremendously. That’s the cycle of life, we have to go through rough times in order to come out stronger and wiser but like the saying goes, “even the darkest hour only has 60 minutes”. Check out my video below and I hope this helps anyone going through a rough time.

(New Video Post) #DearMe – Self Love Satuday Edition #SelfLoveSaturday

Screen Shot 2015-03-06 at 6.25.39 PM

Happy Self Love Saturday!

Today I took part in the #DearMe Campaign that youtube is doing to celebrate international women’s day. They have a great campaign going encouraging women to make videos giving advice to your younger self. I took awhile to think about exactly what I would say to “younger Andrea” and the main thing I wish I could’ve told her is to “love herself”. I wish I knew the power of self love when I was younger and that I invested in loving myself a lot sooner, but like Maya Angelou once told me “everything happens in it’s time”. The advice I touched on in this video is:

1. You Are Enough: Let go of the fear and the notion that you are not enough, because you most absolutely are! You are uniquely created and you are enough.

2. Be An Artist: You art fulfills you and makes you happy so explore it, enjoy it, share it and do it because you are an artist.

3. Be Yourself: You don’t have to fit into anyone’s box. You can do whatever and be whoever you want.

4. Appreciate Your Natural Beauty: God gave you a lot of natural beauty, embrace it and make the very best of it!

5. Listen To Your Intuition: That voice inside of your head, heart and gut is there for a reason, don’t doubt it just listen to it always!

6. Don’t Be Afraid of Confrontation: It is important to have your voice heard, so don’t be afraid to speak up for what you believe, what you think is right, when you’re feeling wronged or simply when you have a better idea!

7. Happiness Comes From Within: There is no outside factor that is going to make you happy if you don’t find the happiness within yourself first.

8. Appreciate The Struggle: I know it might seem hard but appreciate the struggle and the rejection. These times will help you to grow and learn and become better.

9. You Are Great: If only my younger self could know then what I know now, she would know just how great she’s going to be!

(New Video Post) “What About Your Friends” #SelfLoveSaturday

Happy Self Love Saturday!

Today I want to talk to you about the importance of good relationships. “Show me your friends and I’ll show you who you are” is the saying I often hear when it comes to choosing friendships. It took me a long time to understand how important it was to have like minded, positive people in my life for my sanity and growth. When you have someone around you who is no longer serving you in a positive way, then it’s time to analyze why they are still around and make some changes to your relationship. Check out the video below on why I think it’s important to anaylze your relationships.

IMG_2979

Happy Self Love Saturday!

Hey guys, today I want to talk about gaining confidence through self love, taking risks and how it gets waaay better if you stick to the path. I’ve been on my self love journey for a while now and I’m genuinely a much more confident person now in my abilities, purpose and womanhood. This confidence has allowed me to want to take more risks and to be confident in my outcome, because either way I’m going to win or I’m going to learn. So this video is a quick reminder to anyone that has been on this journey with me or just started their self love journey that it gets better! Stick to it, keep trying even on days when it’s hard because it eventually gets better. Check out my video below, and my kickstarter campaign for Jungle Wild and donate!

Hey guys!

Happy “New Episode of Black Actress” Day. Today’s episode features the beautiful Garcelle Beauvias from “The Jamie Foxx Show” “Wild Wild West” “Grimm” “The Mentalist” and countless other shows and films. We each have our own path and what’s for you will be for you.

In this episode we see Kori deal with the competitve and sometimes nasty nature of the business and how to deal with Frenemies. Check out the episode below and as well our kickstarter campaign for Jungle Wild Productions, help us to raise 30K to go towards Black Actress and the other projects that we have slated for this year.
