(New Video Post) Beauty Advice For My Younger Self: Embracing Natural Beauty

photo-1

Quick Story:

Before uploading this video I had a bunch of people post on my Facebook page or send me a message thanking me for promoting “natural beauty” and it’s funny because I really didn’t notice how often I talk about natural beauty until doing this post, but I’m happy that others have noticed and allowing me to speak about it!

Now back to the post, when I asked you guys about a month or so ago what kind of things you wanted to see on my youtube channel a bunch of people asked me to add a beauty element. Now I’m no makeup guru but I do happen to love talking about makeup/hair/fashion with my girlfriends and we often talk about the mistakes we made in our past and the advice we wish we could have given our younger selves when comes to beauty! I saw a note that Phylicia Rashad wrote for her 21 yr old self and I decided to take this concept and give it my own spin! Check out my first video below on “Beauty Advice For My Younger Self” on Embracing Your Natural Beauty! What Advice would you give to your younger self?

(New Video Post) “Self Love Tank Top Available” [World Wide Shipping] #SelfLoveSaturday

Happy Self Love Saturday!!

This year marks two years of my “self love journey” and almost one year of talking about it publicly with all of you! I’m truly blessed to have discovered Self Love and to have started my journey to find confidence, love and acceptance of myself. It hasn’t been easy, it’s taken a lot of discipline, and patience with myself and understanding that life is a journey and every single part of your journey is necessary for making you who you are. As a celebration of my two years of self love I decided to make something I’ve always wanted, a “self love tank top” and I’m making it available for you guys.

photo

It’s One Size fits all, and trust me it really does, because of the stretch! It’s available for World Wide shipping and it’s only $20! Woop! Whether you’re on a self love journey, thinking about it or just starting it, you’ll appreciate this tank! I thank you all for being apart of my self love journey and sharing your own stories with me through twitter and email. The best thing you can do is love yourself, so please continue to grow and change and be whoever you always wanted to be!

(New Music Post) Love Song of The Day – “Saving All My Love For You” By Whitney Houston

This is hands down my favorite song from Whitney Houston! This is classic music put with the perfect voice. A couple more days till Valentine’s day, what’s your plans? Treat yourself!

Lyrics

A few stolen moments is all that we share

You’ve got your family, and they need you there
Though I’ve tried to resist, being last on your list
But no other man’s gonna do
So I’m saving all my love for youIt’s not very easy, living all alone
My friends try and tell me, find a man of my own
But each time I try, I just break down and cry
Cause I’d rather be home feeling blue
So I’m saving all my love for youYou used to tell me we’d run away together
Love gives you the right to be free
You said be patient, just wait a little longer
But that’s just an old fantasy
I’ve got to get ready, just a few minutes more
Gonna get that old feeling when you walk through that door
For tonight is the night, for feeling alright
We’ll be making love the whole night through
So I’m saving all my love
Yes I’m saving all my love
Yes I’m saving all my love for youNo other woman, is gonna love you more
Cause tonight is the night, that I’m feeling alright
We’ll be making love the whole night through
So I’m saving all my love
Yeah I’m saving all my love
Yes I’m saving all my love for you
For you, for you

(New Music Post) Love Song of The Day – “Put it in A Love Song” by Alicia Keys & Beyonce

I LOVE this song! It’s such a great uptempo ladies love song and I truly wish they came out with a video for it because the few images that I saw online were beautiful, maybe one day someone will leak a rough cut or something. For now I’ll just make up my own video in my head lol. Enjoy!

Lyrics

[Alicia]
Hey yo B
[Beyonce]
What up A
[Alicia]
What we want?
[Beyonce]
Want them to say

[Chorus]
Say you love me, Say you love me
Then put it in a love song (Put it in a love song)
Say you need me, Say you need me
Then write it in a letter for me (Oh oh oh)
Say you want me, Say you want me
Then text me on the cell phone (Text me on my cell phone)
Say you love me, Say you love me
Then put me in a love song (Oh)

[Alicia]
If you say you want me, yeah,
You say you want me
If you do the right thing, we can be together
I’m not easy, yeah, you gotta work for it
I’m the real thing, and baby gotta please me

All that talkin’, boy, you better walk it
All that frontin’ that’s not how you do it
If you really need me like you say you need me
Baby better show me, baby, better come and say

[Beyonce]
What you gonna do when somebody convinces me
To believe that he can do it better
Sending me gifts and showing me the romance
All this, this, and that, can you do better?

All I’m saying: love is what I’m looking for
If you wanna keep me, baby gotta love me more
If you really want me, like you say you want me
If you really need me, baby better come and say

[Alicia]
Gotta work it baby, work it out
If you want me baby, Work it out
If you need me baby, Work it out
Gotta work it out, Gotta Work it out

[Beyonce]
If you love me baby, Work it out
Gotta work it baby, Work it out
If you want me baby, Work it out
Gotta work it out, Gotta work it out

[Alicia]
If you want my love and all my time
Part of my plans and part of my mind
[Beyonce]
All of the things that you wanna do
But make sure your love for me’s true to you
[Alicia]
Oh, If you show me; make me believe
[Beyonce]
So many possibilities
[Alicia]
Oh, We can look to infinity
[Alicia & Beyonce]
If you wanna be with me Ohhhhhhh

[Alicia]

1, 2, 3, 4!!!

[Alicia]
Gotta work it baby, work it out
If you want me baby, Work it out
If you need me baby, Work it out
Gotta work it out, Work it out
[Beyonce]
If you love me baby, Work it out
Gotta work it baby, Work it out
If you want me baby, Work it out

(New Post) What we’ve learned from “Kori Bailey” so far #BlackActress 4pm pst/7pm est

Episode 3 Comes out tonight at 4pm pst/7pm set and I wanted to do a quick re-cap on what we’ve learned from “Kori Bailey”.

1. Auditions are difficult no matter how prepared you think you are.

2. It’s ok to be insecure just don’t stop pursuing your dreams

3. You are your own worst enemy.

In the first two episodes of Black Actress we watched Kori struggle through her auditions and also struggle to regain her confidence in herself as an actress. Luckily her best friend Izzy has served as both her support system and distraction to remind  her that life continues outside of “acting”. In tonight’s episode Kori takes initiative to do something about her acting career and starts a new acting class with the renowned Tommy Hannigan. The class however doesn’t end up being what she hoped for and anyone that takes acting classes knows you shouldn’t always believe the hype!

I think all entertainers have once been in the same place as “Kori Bailey”. Unsure where your life is headed and even more unsure of what you’re doing. It’s a scary place to be in and depending on your choices you’re either going to sink or swim.

Check out the first two episodes below and stay tuned tonight 4pm pst/7pm est http://www.youtube.com/issarae

(New post) When you take a leap of faith and it doesn’t work out….

I took a big leap of faith last week and it didn’t work out how I wanted it to but for some reason the first thing that came to my mind was hope and I wanted to share some of my thoughts with you guys who may have gone through the same thing…

When taking a leap of faith and it doesn’t work out as planned don’t get down, don’t begin to have regrets and think about the coulda shoulda wouldas. Instead make room…Make room for the blessing that you’re supposed to have. This leap of faith gone wrong is just a dot in the map of your life to lead you to the places and the people that you’re supposed to be with. It wasn’t a mistake, it was an eye opener to show you and everyone else that you’re ready, that you want it and you’re willing to do anything for it. So be proud, add another hole to your confidence belt and tug it tighter because you’re definitely closer. This opportunity may not have worked out as you planned but God and the Universe is just getting you ready for the right one so keep going and keep jumping until you land.

To all my dreamers stay positive 🙂
